Editorial independence
Commercial relationships never change what a guide, tool or chart says or recommends. Affiliate links and sponsored content are kept out of guides, tools and charts entirely.
Affiliate links
Some pages — primarily in the Gear area (V2) — contain affiliate links to instruments, software and equipment. When they appear, a notice at the top of the page says "Contains affiliate links". Affiliate links appear only in pages designed for that purpose, never inside a guide or embedded in a tool result.
Sponsored content
Sponsored or white-label editions for music schools and retailers carry a "Sponsored" notice at the top of every page. The content of sponsored editions follows the same review and accuracy standards as editorial content. Sponsors do not control what a page says.
Ads
Display advertising, if used, never appears on or over tools, charts, the hero visual or inside guidance text.
What we recommend and why
Gear pages describe instruments and software on their own merits. We do not rank products by affiliate commission rate. If we cannot recommend something honestly, we do not include it.
Trademarks
Instrument, software and platform names belong to their owners. Naming them does not imply affiliation or endorsement unless an agreement is in place and disclosed.
